Q: Where is the hanok guesthouse located exactly?

A. The hanok's address is 87-1 Unni-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, 110-350.  Here is the guesthouse's exact location.



If you are coming from Anguk station, take exit 4, walk straight past Unhyeon Palace, take the first left, walk straight for 3 minutes, then go left at the kindergarten/Korean house. Our hanok newly built and at the end

If you are coming by bus, get off at Changdeok Palace, walk down past GS CALTEX, until you get to the end of the street, and turn right, just around the corner you will see the kindergarten/Korean house. Our hanok is newly built and at the end.


If you are coming from Jongno3ga, take exit 7, walk towards Changdeok Palace(straight from the exit, don't cross the road) walk for 5 minutes, when you see GS25 on the opposite side, go down this street, walk for another 3 minutes, and you will see the kindergarten/Korean house. Our hanok is newly built and at the end.

Q: How can we contact you?

Q: If this is a hanok, does that mean we sleep on the floor?

A: This is a traditional Korean hanok and thus comes equipped with tradition Korean sleeping mats. These mats are quite comfortable, because they are low to the floor they are cooler in summer and warmer in winter, unlike western beds.

Q: I have stayed at guesthouses before, and they were too noisy, how many people stay here at one time?

A: Our Guesthouse was built to accommodate 5 people, but the smaller rooms can have 1-2 more people if they are children. Additional guest will incur a 10,000KRW surcharge per person.  Our detached main building can also be used to accommodate larger groups than the guesthouse.

Q: Are my things safe? Can I leave my personal belongings in the room and not worry?

A: Of course, just like anywhere you stay we suggest not leaving valuable in your rooms, but we do have 24hr CCTV, and individual locks on all of the rooms.

Q: What are the check-in and check-out times for your hanok?

A: Check-in is from 2pm, and check-out is 11am.

Q: I heard Jongno-gu is in the old part of Seoul, is there anything to see around here?

A: Yes! within a 5 minute walk of our guest house you can visit World Heritage listed sites such Changdeok Palace and Jongmyo Royal Shrine.  Insadong (traditional cultural street) and Bukchon hanok village are also within 5 minutes.  Within a 5 minute bus ride you can also visit Gyeongbok Palace, Deoksu Palace, Changgyeong Palace, Hyehwa (with over 200 theatres), and Namdaemun Gate.

Q: I am coming from the Airport, how can I get to your guesthouse?

A: Bus number 6011 (10,000KRW, 60 minutes) can drop you off nearby at Changdeok Palace. We are also within a few minutes walk of Anguk Subway Station and intercity bus stops.

Q: Do you provide food? Where can I get dinner?

A: We provide a basic breakfast of toast, eggs, sausages, milk and juice. There are many restaurants nearby, from meals that will cost 4,000KRW each, to expensive Korean dishes costing upwards of 40,000KRW to Italian and other foreign foods.


Q: What is your neighbourhood like?


A: We are located in a quiet area with a few other hanok, next to a primary school and nearby a local kindergarten, the day and nights are peaceful and safe.


Q: I am bringing my notebook, do you have wifi?

A: We have wifi connections, as well as notebook rentals.

Q: Can we eat and drink in our rooms?

A: Of course, we ask that you keep the rooms as tidy as possible, but you are free to eat and drink in your rooms, there is also a small courtyard that can be used for this purpose.

Q: I heard that hanok are really hot in the summer and freezing in the winter, how about your guesthouse?

A: Each room of our hanok has underfloor-heating and air-conditioning. This won't be a problem.
